What to bring
For Personal Returns:
- Your contact information: name, address, phone numbers and email addresses
- Your marital status and names and birthdates of your spouse and any dependants
- Your Social Insurance Numbers (self/spouse/dependants if applicable)
- All income slips T-4’s, OAS, CPP, T5, T3, etc
- Foreign income including foreign pensions, foreign employment and interest from foreign accounts
- Home Buyers Plan repayment schedule (if applicable)
- Life Long Learning Plan repayment schedule (if applicable)
- RRSP receipts
- Spousal support payments either paid or received
- Employment expenses totalled accompanied by Declaration of conditions of Employment (T2200) signed by employer (mileage log required for vehicle expenses)
- TL2 signed by employer if claiming Transport Employment Meal Allowance
- Moving expenses if over 40 kms closer to new employment
- Education and Textbook tax credits – provide Tuition T2202A + students net income – students can download from student web-site) if tuition is to be transferred – student to sign page 2 of form for transfer ALSO require students net income
- Medical receipts ~ Please note, your medical expenses must exceed 3 % of income to be a deductible expense. A year end total may be obtained from pharmacy / dental / chiropractor etc to assist in tallying of receipts
- Charitable donations (you may accumulate for 5 years)
- Property taxes or rent paid for current year to determine entitlement to provincial benefits
- A cheque or Direct Deposit bank information form to set up direct deposit or to re-direct your existing deposit into a different account
- Returns for deceased clients must be accompanied by a Death Certificate & a copy of will
- Notice of Assessment from Canada Revenue Agency for most recent income tax return filed (for new clients only)
